I thought this was going to be a horror movie, from the way my friends described it. It was so much more than that. Two hours blew by like fifteen minutes. Well, after i watch this masterpiece i always like wait, did i just watch a movie, not a short movie. Cant wait for the inevitable American remake with an A-list cast and a 20% on RT, in 5 years. Ive been hearing all about this movie, I just brought it and will give my feedback after I watch it... Im a screen writing student so Im very interested in seeing how this movie will unfold and getting some inspo for my class work😬.
The message is that you can't deceive your way to a better life, by lying and destroying other peoples life, you can't manipulate everyone for ever eventually the dirty water of your lies will overrun like it happened in the film when their house went underwater from the flood, and even then that life gave you a clear sing to stop do not continue or you will lose everything, as Kim lost his daughter. You need to understand that by lying you will get only a fake life like the fake stone that floats in the film.
I guess having a plan can work out after all sometimes. This reminds me of me and my friend doing a group project we have to present and we couldnt stop laughing. Parasite = because they take advantage of a host. Enriching themselves at the cost of the other party. Nice trailer 👌🏻👍🏻. Ok i relate to them when i tried connecting to my neighbor's wifu😅😅😅.

I have not seen such a movie that is so bold and daring in its originality in a long time, and that helps make this the most gripping cinema of the year, more so than any Hollywood horror and thriller movie.
Though the movie is not without flaws, such as the perplexing ending with inane logic that makes it hard to follow somewhat despite the shocking turns and twists, the director proves himself to be the master of the filmmaking craft by many years of experience.
Toward the ending, I had to think to myself, This director (I could not quite remember the name, but will memorize following the end) is a crazy movie. That is a great compliment to the filmmakers who conjured up the most intricate structure of a thriller that also emphasizes originality.
I don't know about the political, social and economical situations of South Korea, but I imagine that the themes conveyed by this movie also applies equitably to Europe, Australia and North America, without losing the tonal cohesion and heart-rending message of supposed inequalities.
Parasite has to be one of the most original films released in the last decade, and I cannot remember the last time I saw an original movie without it being derivative, mildly, subtly or obvious. It's also the most daring in terms of urgent social messaging under guise of a dark satire worthy of Jonathan Swift's work, on par with "Joker.
Certainly, Parasite does not warrant the full accolades due to minor flaws that confound the otherwise hypercritical and jaded moviegoers like me, but the effort put into the structure of exposition followed by insane but carefully constructed twists is compelling as a gripping thriller that only this director Bong Joon-ho knows how to pull off effortlessly like the illusionist, and no one else, not even the veteran once-great-turned-hack American directors like Brian De Palma and Michael Mann, can try.
Just watch this movie without knowing ANYTHING about the plot. I did not even watch the trailer, and I assiduously avoided reading the reviews prior to this screening. The astonished thrills and incredulous disbelief at the directorial and storytelling ingenuity are worth it by watching this film blind without advance knowledge.

Trailers do not do this movie justice. You've really got to watch it in order to understand. Such a whirlwind of a movie. I pray to god they see this and remember what good movies are. Stop making remakes stop doing unnecessary sequels. Make some new classics pls. Even Disney is on this whole live action remake kick. tell me a story I havent heard yet for the love of GOD this movie was good. This movie is a MASTERPIECE! 10/10 would recommend. its amazing, i was shook for a whole 10 minutes after i finished, it was insane. i want to relive the experience all over again.
Genius. The classical music emphasizes the dramatic intensity of these crucial 5 minutes for the plot. A very well deserved win for Best original screenplay, Boon. “definitely my favourite five minutes of the year” laughs in sex related scorn. The woman that plays the daughter in the poor family deserves an Oscar nomination because she stole the show for me. Beautiful, fierce, determined, when she's ordering the rich mother to do this-and-that. wow. Powerful film. Everyone's superb in it. I love the part where 'hitting-the-Send-button' becomes the new 'held-at-gunpoint' moment for today's age. Hollywood: How can we make a trailer without revealing anything? BongJoonHo: Hold my wifi. Marvel movie trailers only dared to show the beginning parts. This trailer actually showed all the way from beginning to end without spoiling. This is one of the best movies i ever watched. Never imagine that korean industry could made movie better than most hollywood movie.
I love how he talks as if he's still in character. That is so engaging! You see actors usually talking about the character as a distant reality when discussing the movie, this is so fresh.
Parasite is by far one of the most best films ever.
REALLY want to see this movie, love Snow Piercer. Most deserved Best Picture for years.
